This role designs, implements, and continuously optimizes geospatial workflows, data pipelines, and platforms that support LiDAR, GPR, RGB, thermal imagery, and GIS deliverables. The Geospatial Solutions Supervisor plays a central role in the research and development of new service offerings, manages day-to-day data processing operations, provides technical leadership to the geospatial analyst team, and collaborates closely with field teams to ensure accurate, high-value deliverables. This position also maintains a working understanding of field operations to provide limited operational support when the Field Survey Supervisor is unavailable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Geospatial Solutions and Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities to improve data processing pipelines, geospatial integration workflows, and reporting processes, increasing throughput, consistency, and deliverable quality. Design and build custom tools, scripts, and automation processes (e.g., Python, batch processing, API integrations) to optimize data workflows and reduce manual handling. Pilot and evaluate new technologies and platforms such as AI-assisted classification, advanced point cloud analytics, and real-time data delivery solutions. Lead or actively contribute to research and development initiatives for new geospatial service offerings and analytical products. Stay current with emerging geospatial, UAS, and data analytics technologies, and integrate relevant advancements into operational practices. • Data Management and Quality Control: Oversee the ingestion, organization, processing, and delivery of LiDAR, GPR, thermal imagery, RGB photography, and other field data collected by internal teams and partners. Establish, document, and enforce quality control standards and checklists to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all active projects. Manage GIS datasets, including schema design, attribution standards, and integration into internal and client-facing platforms. Coordinate with field teams to identify and resolve data quality issues, determine root causes, and update field procedures to prevent recurrence. Ensure data security, integrity, and appropriate backup and archiving practices for all geospatial datasets. • Platform and Workflow Integration: Configure and manage geospatial platforms and processing tools, including LiDAR processing software, GIS systems, and cloud-hosted data portals used by the department. Collaborate with internal IT, software vendors, and cloud providers to optimize system performance, storage strategy, and platform reliability.
