Develop the electrical commissioning schedule including all inter-dependencies (electrical, controls, etc) for the mechanical and process systems Attend the daily Startup and Cx meeting and further develop the electrical commissioning look ahead using construction complete dates for the electrical gear and systems As required, attend site MEP coordination meetings, pull planning meetings, first of kind (FOK) meetings, preparatory meetings, and any other project coordinator level meetings, deemed necessary by the GC and Owner. Review Level 2 inspections which include installation verification to the drawings and specs, field inspect FOK installs and pre-Energization Inspections Provide a Weekly / Monthly review of the Commissioning Schedule and Master Construction Schedule line items that relate to level 3 and level 4 commissioning activities. Report to the site construction teams any concerns as they relate to the level 2 construction complete Signoff on all Level 2 & Level 3 commissioning activities Log and track of all Level 2 & Level 3 issues / discrepancies in the Cx software and follow the discrepancy through its corrective action and subsequent inspection Develop pre-functional inspection checklists with the vendors for all major mechanical equipment. Provide general oversight of GC & Electrical Contractor QC plans. Provide feedback to the GC and client where deviations exist from the Division 1 specifications related to QC. Conduct field observations of electrical scope to ensure installation and operational function are in compliance with the drawings, specifications, NEC, and industry standards Provide oversight of receipt inspections of major mechanical equipment as it arrives to the job site. Ensure NCR / deficiency log items are closed out prior to start-up and acceptance testing Attend 100% FOK equipment energizations and vendor Level 3 startup activities. Strong testing proficiency using quality engineering testing techniques, methodologies and best practices leveraging test management tools. Familiarity with scheduling software such as P6. Familiarity with BIM Field or BIM 2.0 Ability to apply initiative and judgment to define and perform tasks, sometimes complex, and sees the bigger picture. About the Role Radiant is seeking a Principal Turbomachinery Engineer to serve as the Responsible Engineer for the turbomachinery within our nuclear-driven power generation system. Provide escalation support for complex power, cooling, cabling, environmental, and physical hardware issues, coordinating with operations, facilities, and vendor partners. Ensure proper physical installation practices, including seismic/earthquake bracing (Unistrut), grounding, weight distribution, and adherence to manufacturer and site standards. Develop and maintain accurate documentation, including rack diagrams, cable schedules, IP/port documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and operational records. Support server and hardware operations across VMware, Nutanix, Windows, and Linux platforms, including basic system administration and health checks (no red lights, no errors). Participate in disaster recovery activities and resiliency testing at the Omaha DR site, including power-failover validation and coordination with network and platform teams. Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours and 24/7 support for critical data center operations as required. QUALIFICATIONS Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on data center experience. 8+ years of hands-on data center operations experience across multiple sites, including primary and colocation/DR environments. Familiarity with Windows, Linux and Hypervisor environments. Strong, demonstrable expertise across all physical data center domains: electrical/power distribution, PDUs, cooling/environmental systems, structured cabling, and facility management. Hands-on experience with DCIM tools for asset, capacity, power, and connectivity management. Experience with colocation facilities, including colo selection/evaluation, space/power/cooling planning, and remote-hands coordination. Practical knowledge of power infrastructure, including UPS, ATS, generators, redundant (A/B) power feeds, circuit sizing, and rack power capacity. Proficiency with structured cabling (copper and fiber), cable management, labeling standards, and rack elevation design. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, racking, and installing equipment, and working in data center environments. Working knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware, with familiarity across VMware, Nutanix, Windows, and Linux platforms. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during critical events. Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate physical infrastructure records. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with facilities, vendors, and global infrastructure teams. Willingness and ability to travel to the Omaha, NE data center as needed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Industry certifications such as DCCA, DCCS, CDCP/CDCS/CDCE (Data Center Certified Professional/Specialist/Expert), or BICSI cabling certifications. Experience with data center monitoring tools (Grafana, Solarwinds and vendor call-home solutions) and environmental/power monitoring platforms. Experience supporting data center relocations, buildouts, or colocation migrations. Familiarity with physical security systems, fire suppression, and data center compliance standards.
