Genworth is seeking a Manager, Virtualization & Digital Workspace Platforms to lead the strategy, design, and operations of our virtual desktop and digital workspace environment supporting critical financial and insurance applications. In this role, you will architect secure, scalable VDI and application delivery solutions, ensure high availability, and drive automation and performance optimization. You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, and business teams to align platforms with regulatory and security requirements while mentoring a technical team, managing vendors, and continually improving user experience for distributed, hybrid teams. Responsibilities Lead strategy and roadmap for virtualization and digital workspace platforms Design, implement, and optimize VDI and application delivery solutions Ensure platform security, compliance, and high availability for financial workloads Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new workspace technologies Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams on integrations Oversee platform performance monitoring, capacity planning, and tuning Develop standards, documentation, and best practices for workspace platforms Manage and mentor technical team members supporting the platforms Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation Drive continuous improvement and automation of platform operations Required Skills Virtualization platform design and administration (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar) VDI solutions (e.g., Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop) Windows Server and enterprise desktop management Enterprise networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPN) Identity and access management (Active Directory, SSO, MFA) Security hardening and compliance in regulated environments Scripting/automation (Power Shell, Python, or similar) Monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) for workspace solutions ITIL-based service management and incident/problem management
