Senior ML Infra Engineer
Maxinsights Corporation Alviso, California
Job Description Job Description We are looking for a senior ML infrastructure engineer to build and evolve the systems that support model training, deployment, and production usage. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure, ML workflows, and developer experience. The work focuses on production-quality ML systems: reliability, scalability, observability, and usability for the team. You will work on training infrastructure, deployment workflows, model serving, platform tooling, automation, and production reliability. Training deployment is a core focus, and experience with inference deployment is a strong plus. We care about engineering judgment, technical depth, communication, and the ability to turn messy ML workflows into stable platform capabilities. What You Will Own Design, build, and evolve infrastructure for ML training workflows, training deployment, experiment execution, and production handoff. Build and maintain deployment paths for models, jobs, services, and supporting infrastructure across development and production environments. Improve reliability, scalability, observability, and developer experience for ML workflows and platform tools. Define interfaces, automation, metadata, artifacts, configuration, environment management, and lifecycle boundaries for ML systems. Collaborate with research, product, data, and engineering partners to translate incomplete ML workflow needs into maintainable systems. Support production usage by building clear operational tooling, debugging paths, and safe rollout mechanisms. What We Look For Strong software engineering and infrastructure fundamentals, with experience owning production or near-production systems. Practical experience with PyTorch and ML training workflows, including job orchestration, compute environments, artifact management, and deployment automation. Solid understanding of heterogeneous computing and high-performance computing, especially for ML training or serving workloads. Good understanding of model lifecycle concerns: data, configs, checkpoints, artifacts, reproducibility, rollout, rollback, and observability. Ability to build reliable platform abstractions without hiding the important details ML practitioners need to control. Clear technical and product sense: you can prioritize platform work that unlocks real training or deployment velocity. High standards for engineering quality, including tests, documentation, debugging tools, and maintainable system design. Tech Stack You May Work With Python PyTorch Heterogeneous computing and high-performance computing ML training pipelines, job orchestration, compute scheduling, containers, and deployment automation Model artifacts, metadata, storage, experiment tracking, and configuration systems Model serving, inference deployment, APIs, queues, and observability tools Docker, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, GPUs, and internal platform tooling Bonus Points Experience building training deployment systems, model release workflows, or ML platform tooling for research and production teams. Experience with inference deployment, model serving, online/offline evaluation, performance tuning, or rollout safety. Experience with distributed training, GPU infrastructure, workload scheduling, artifact/version management, or reproducibility tooling. Understanding of CUDA, GPU architecture, or low-level performance optimization. Experience with open-source inference and serving frameworks such as vLLM, TensorRT, Triton, or similar systems. This Role May Not Be a Fit If You mainly want to train models personally and do not enjoy building infrastructure for others to use. You are comfortable with manual ML workflows and do not care about reproducibility, deployment, or operational quality. You prefer narrow implementation tasks and do not want to reason about system boundaries, platform UX, or long-term maintenance. You over-abstract ML workflows without understanding where researchers and engineers need control and visibility. Why This Role Matters ML teams move faster when training, deployment, and production usage are supported by reliable infrastructure instead of scattered scripts and manual processes. This role will directly shape how models move from experimentation to production, how safely they are deployed, and how efficiently the team can iterate. For the right person, it is a high-ownership platform role with deep impact on both engineering quality and ML velocity. What We Would Like to See When You Apply ML infrastructure, training platforms, deployment systems, or model serving systems you have owned. Examples of how you improved training reliability, deployment velocity, reproducibility, observability, or operational safety. Cases where you turned messy ML workflows into maintainable tools, services, or platform abstractions. Applied AI Engineer, Silicon Engineering
Etched San Jose, California
Job Description Job Description About Etched Etched is building hardware for frontier intelligence. We co-design chips, racks, software, and manufacturing to deliver best-in-class throughput and latency across both prefill and decode workloads. Our first products are heavily focused on inference . Backed by hundreds of millions from top-tier investors and staffed by leading engineers, Etched is redefining the infrastructure layer for the fastest growing industry in history. Job Summary We are using AI to build AI chips. AI agents are starting to genuinely work for verification, debug, and EDA flows - we want someone to bring that inside Etched and push past it. As an Applied AI Engineer, you will embed with our hardware teams - RTL design, verification, DFT, physical design, and silicon validation - and build the agents and tooling that multiply their output. You'll wire LLM agents into simulators, regressions, waveform and log analysis, EDA flows, and bring-up workflows, and own the evals that separate demos from tools engineers actually rely on. This is an internal, force-multiplier role: your success is measured by how much faster the chip team moves, not by lines of code you ship yourself. It is not a customer-facing role and not about inference serving - it's AI applied to how we build the chip itself. You do not need to be a chip designer or a traditional software engineer - you need to be an exceptional problem solver who has shipped real agentic systems, works comfortably across stacks and domains, and uses AI to ramp on hard new problems fast. Key responsibilities Build, deploy, and maintain LLM-agent workflows that accelerate chip development: debug triage, testbench and coverage work, log/waveform analysis, EDA script generation, and engineering knowledge retrieval Embed with hardware teams to find the highest-leverage pain points, then turn them into automated workflows with measurable adoption Design rigorous evals for agent performance on real silicon-engineering tasks - not proxy metrics - and use them to drive iteration Integrate agents with our internal infrastructure: simulation and emulation flows, CI/regression systems, lab equipment, and issue tracking, via tool-calling and MCP Champion adoption: documentation, training, and fast feedback loops with the engineers who use what you build You may be a good fit if you have A track record of solving hard problems across stacks and domains - you enjoy being dropped into unfamiliar territory and figuring it out Comfort with Python and code: you can read it, modify it, debug it, and direct AI to write it well. We do not care whether you write code from scratch - we care whether you ship things that work Fluency using AI to learn and ramp on new problems - agentic coding tools, deep research, and frontier models are how you work, not an add-on Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-based agents or AI tooling that real users depend on (beyond calling an API - context engineering, tool integration, orchestration, failure analysis) An eval-driven mindset: you measure whether AI systems actually work before scaling them High agency and comfort with ambiguity - you can find the problem, not just solve the stated one Interest in chip development and the ability to ramp quickly on a deeply technical domain. Hardware experience is a real plus, but not required - you will be willing and able to learn quickly Strong candidates may also have experience with Chip development in any form (the strongest plus): RTL/SystemVerilog, functional verification (UVM), DFT, physical design/STA, FPGA, emulation, or silicon bring-up and validation EDA tool flows and Tcl scripting; reading waveforms, logs, and regressions Fine-tuning or post-training (SFT, RLHF/DPO), RAG over proprietary technical data, or multi-agent orchestration Deep software engineering: C++ or Rust, developer-facing internal platforms, CI/CD at scale, or infrastructure (Docker, Slurm, Ray) Representative projects In your first 30 days, pick one hardware team's worst recurring pain, ship an agent for it, and prove adoption with usage data Build an agent that triages overnight regression failures, clusters them by root cause, and drafts bug reports with waveform and log evidence attached Wire Claude Code-style agents into our EDA and validation flows via MCP so engineers can drive simulations, queries, and lab equipment from natural language Create a retrieval system over our specs, design docs, and past debug history that cuts ramp time for new engineers Design an eval suite that measures agent performance on real verification and debug tasks, and use it to decide which workflows to automate next Prototype AlphaEvolve-style optimization loops that propose and automatically verify improvements to test programs or flow scripts Benefits Full medical, dental, and vision packages, with generous premium coverage Housing subsidy of $2,000/month for those living within walking distance of the office Daily lunch and dinner in our office Relocation support for those moving to San Jose (Santana Row) Unlimited compute budget subject to ROI justification How we're different Etched believes in the Bitter Lesson. We are the first inference-focused frontier AI system, betting early on transformer and transformer-like architectures and on increasing model sizes. Our addressable market is the entirety of inference, unlike many of our competitors. We are a fully in-person team in San Jose (Santana Row), and greatly value engineering skills. We do not have boundaries between engineering and research, and we expect all of our technical staff to contribute to both and work across disciplines as needed. Compensation Range: $150K - $275K

Hadrian Automation Bodega Bay, California
Job Description Job Description Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. Growth Engineer
Flux San Francisco, California
Job Description Job Description Why Flux Flux is taking the hard out of hardware. To do this, we're building the world's first AI hardware engineer. Founded in 2019, our platform enables anyone to go from idea to manufacturable board using nothing more than a natural language prompt. This democratizes a process that has historically required years of specialized expertise. We're going after a $15B+ electronic design automation market, backed by 8VC, Bain Capital Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, Outsiders Fund, Figma board member John Lilly, and GitHub founder Tom Preston-Werner. In February 2026, we closed a total of $37M in funding to accelerate that mission. What happens when we unlock the ability for anyone to make hardware? We fundamentally reshape the world. That's our mission, and we're just getting started. The Role This is a rare opportunity for a technical operator who wants to own growth end-to-end. You'll work closely with product, design, and marketing, but your focus will be on building and shipping experiments that accelerate acquisition, activation, and retention. Think: building new onboarding flows, instrumenting funnels, hacking together scrappy tools, or running experiments that generate meaningful lift in weeks, not months. What You'll Do Build & ship growth experiments: Prototype and launch tools, landing pages, onboarding flows, and conversion experiments. Diagnose user friction: Use data, user research, and intuition to identify where technical users drop off and design ways to keep them engaged. Optimize onboarding & activation: Rework first-touch experiences so users get to "aha" moments faster - without relying on manual human support. Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with marketing on campaigns, with product on flows, and with engineering on integrations or growth features. Quantify impact: Set up instrumentation, track experiment performance, and prioritize work based on data + potential impact. Stay scrappy: Use whatever tool, framework, or hack gets the job done fastest - from writing code to automating workflows to tweaking website architecture. What You'll Bring Strong technical chops: comfortable coding, prototyping, and integrating tools (front-end or full-stack background a plus). Proven record of delivering growth experiments with measurable results. Empathy for technical users (engineers, designers, or similar). Ability to deeply understand their workflows and motivations. Quantitative mindset: love for data, funnel metrics, and experimentation frameworks. Entrepreneurial persistence: bias toward action, ability to hustle, iterate, and figure things out quickly. Clear communicator who can explain both the "what" and the "why" behind your work. Preferred Qualifications Experience at a startup scaling from early revenue product-market fit growth stage. Exposure to developer tools, SaaS, or products with technical users. Comfort with SEO/website optimization, analytics tools, and marketing automation. Portfolio of past growth hacks or projects that show your range and creativity. Profile Impact-oriented: You don't feel done until real people are getting real value from what you built. Ambiguity-native: You thrive in the undefined. Our work is full of half-mapped terrain, soft constraints, and ideas that shift under your feet. That energizes you. You constantly update your intuitions as you go, and are excited to discover new and better ways to attack challenges we're still finding words to describe. Collaborative: You share your thoughts early and often, and welcome debate and creative collaboration. Flux is a deeply collaborative company, and we believe that the best ideas can only win if they're said out loud. Convention-averse: Flux is an AI-first company, building AI tooling, using AI tooling. We constantly experiment with new tools, techniques, and processes. You feel an urgency to reimagine what your work looks like in this rapidly changing world, and you value critical thinking far above established conventions. Ownership mentality: You are a self-starter, bias toward action, and care deeply about the team and community who lean on you and your work. Thanks for reading! Prior experience with HW or Electronics is not required - except for our Hardware internships! If the roles above don't fit you, we'd still love to have you in our network for upcoming opportunities. PS. We're always looking to meet Engineers who are interested in writing news, technical articles, or building tutorials. To get in touch, apply here or reach out to and tell us a little about yourself! Flux is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. All employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business need. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Compensation Range: $183K - $248K
