Job Description Job Description Perfection Machining in Morgan Hill seeks a CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer to set up and operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery and equipment. Perfection Machining LLC is a manufacturer of complex build-to-print machine parts and sub-assemblies in support of the aerospace/defense industry. We are seeking a CNC Lathe Operator / Programmer with the primary responsibility to program and operate the machine to automatically produce metal parts for our manufacturing team. JOB SUMMARY: Ability to setup and operate CNC Lathe machines with minimum assistance and supervision. Able to read and interpret CNC lathe programs and make necessary adjustments or modifications. You will follow blueprints and schematic work-ups to create precision implements and tools with machinery. As a CNC Lathe Machinist required to set-up and run the most complex proven or new parts with little to no supervision. Will assist in the development of new processes. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Manually program machines utilizing proficient knowledge of CNC controls Program and operate CNC machines Understand the specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc. Accurately read and interpret prints, 3D models, and general work instructions. Read tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been appropriately completed, ensuring quality and accuracy Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. Maintain quality control documents and update setup information REQUIREMENTS: CNC fabrication experience is a must, as well as experience with precision measurement tools Must be computer savvy and programming experience with Mastercam preferred Ability to read & interpret prints/drawings & 3D models. Mathematical skills: Add, subtract, multiply, divide. Compute rate, ratios, & percentages. Self-motivated, able to work with minimal direct supervision Attention to detail and results-driven QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a US citizen with a High school diploma or GED equivalent Have an associate degree in a manufacturing field and experience as a CNC lathe operator or a similar machining specialist. Training, certification, or degree from a technical college or vocational school preferred Able to read blueprints and use a caliper or micrometer to ensure all of your parts match the specifications Prior professional experience in a related manufacturing role Experience using CAD (computer-aided design) and CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) software programs

CNC programmer and set-up/operator needed for busy production maching facility. Applicant must have experience with: Mori-Seiki lathes, blueprint reading, understanding of tolerances, use of compartors, handheld measuring instruments, and digital inspection systems. Experience with inspection methods during production. Knowledge of CNC programming, mastercam, solidworks, or other CNC programming. Prefferred experience with specifically the following: Sub spindle lathes (dual turret a plus Live tools Editing G code manually Setting up and touching off tools Be willing to set up and then runout jobs Fanuc or Mori Seiki experience a plus. Must be willing to run multiple machines This is not an entry level position. This is a production shop environment with short to long run jobs and provides ability to keep learning. We work primarily with aerospce, automotive, medical and sensor industries. We offer a 4 day, 40 hours work week. Mon-Thurs 5am-3:30 pm. Description CNC Manufacturing is currently seeking qualified candidates for CNC Set Up Programmers in our Conventional Lathe Department. We are looking for first-shift candidates. Pay rate starts at $35.00/hour depending on skill level and experience. Requirements The Setup Programmer completes setups for Conventional Lathes. Setup Programmers will have the equivalent experience of an advanced machine operator with the ability to maintain production on precision parts. They will maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; and maintain equipment. CNC Manufacturing is willing to provide training for select candidates. There is an opportunity for advancement in this position. Responsibilities • Pull all necessary tooling for each job • Upload and Download programs • Prove out jobs with the ability to change/adjust the program • Manual G-code programming • Create and update set up sheets • Set work offsets • Identify, prepare, and load raw materials and work holding • Use of all inspection equipment, including RAM, Comparator, and CMM • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area complying with all Safety and ISO standards • Other duties as required Qualifications & Skills • Proficient Machine Operator with 2-5 years CNC experience; understanding of common material types and coordinate system • Basic understanding of GD&T required • CAD/CAM experience preferred • Ability to finish bringing any part into tolerance after set-up is complete • Understand and edit G-code, M-code & programming experience, Mazatrol preferred • Ability to remove and sharpen most tooling • Ability to create inspection processes for all parts and qualify bench inspection equipment • Ability to qualify part to blueprint Physical Demands and Work Conditions • Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, visual acuity • Moving, carrying, lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds • Standing for extended periods of time CNC Manufacturing is an industry leading expert in the precision machining of performance critical parts in diverse industries, including dental, defense, and aerospace.
