What this job is about: The Senior Research and Data Visualization Specialist serves on the Education and Research Team (ERT), which addresses issues related to internal medicine education (undergraduate medical education UME and graduate medical education GME ). The team also oversees research on the discipline and profession of academic medicine through survey data collection, descriptive and exploratory analyses for data visualizations and summary reports, and comparative analyses for publication by member advisory committees/work groups. The Senior Research and Data Visualization Specialist integrates intermediate research skills with data visualization and analytical capabilities. This position is responsible for developing and implementing frameworks (e.g., project milestones and timelines) for research studies, analyzing datasets of variable sizes and complexity, and translating findings into clear, compelling visual insights, reports, and other communications to inform stakeholders on timely issues in their profession. Strong problem solving abilities with thorough documentation, verification, and validation practices Proficiency in digital signal processing (DSP) with strong MATLAB skills for algorithm development, modeling, simulation, and data analysis Solid understanding of DSP fundamentals including filtering, spectral analysis, FFTs, modulation, sampling theory, and noise reduction Ability to support algorithm implementation in C, C++, or Python Active Secret or recent TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to maintain. Preferred Additional Skills: Active TS/SCI Clearance Experience with integration and troubleshooting of complex RF or electronic warfare receiver systems. Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and DOORS for requirements and workflow management.
