Description: Reports To Assistant Manager of Test Engineering Location: Huntsville, AL POSITION SUMMARY: The Test Engineer II serves as a key contributor within the Test Engineering Team at the Huntsville Factory. This role is responsible for supporting, developing, and enhancing test software, hardware, and automation infrastructure, including the use of Python, C#, and MySQL-based solutions to improve test automation, data acquisition, analysis, reporting, and system performance. The Test Engineer II independently executes mid-level engineering projects while mentoring junior engineers and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, improve, and maintain test software and hardware systems. Support ICT and EOLT system implementation and upgrades Develop and maintain automation scripts, test applications, and data analysis tools using Python and C# to improve test efficiency, data collection, reporting, and process control. Design, maintain, and support MySQL databases used for test data storage, retrieval, analysis, and reporting. Perform in-depth root cause analysis of test failures and implement corrective actions. Read and interpret electrical schematics and debug PCBs to the component level. Lead small-scale improvement projects and collaborate cross-functionally Maintain and repair test fixtures and equipment to ensure uptime and accuracy. Contribute ideas to improve processes and system performance. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BSEE or related field of study required. 3-6 years of hands-on experience with ICT/EOLT and PCB-level troubleshooting. Intermediate proficiency in C/C++, C#, Python, LabVIEW, CVI, or Visual C. Experience developing test automation, data analysis, and manufacturing support applications using Python and C# Working knowledge of MySQL database design, query development, and data management. Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits. Effective communicator and proactive team player. Solid multitasking and time management skills. Competency in soldering and rework of through-hole and SMD components. You will lead application security reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation across web and mobile platforms. Partnering with development and product teams, you'll embed security into the SDLC, manage tools like SAST/DAST/SCA, and guide secure architecture decisions. You will mentor engineers, deliver security training, and support compliance efforts while driving continuous improvement in a highly collaborative environment.

Job Summary: In addition to responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for reviewing application source code for potential security vulnerabilities under the guidance of more senior application security consultants by performing manual and automated security testing on applications in a running state (DAST); working with DevOps teams to integrate application security services; training DevOps personnel and developers to use application security tools; working one-on-one with developers to help them understand security vulnerabilities at hand and to identify/suggest remediation plans; and recommending application security training paths. This also includes responsibility for protecting applications in production by enrolling them for continuous assessment of existing and emerging threats, evaluating web application firewalls; tuning WAF rules; reviewing alerts; and identifying issues as appropriate. Executes the vulnerability assessment and penetration testing plan, methodologies, and standard processes for moderately complex technology initiatives across multiple IT domains by analyzing business and technology requirements. Researches and stays abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, best practices, and cutting edge techniques to creatively discover and exploit vulnerabilities, and recommend security solutions for technology systems. Generates scheduled reports (e.g., status updates, risk assessment reports, remediation reports) and provides regular security metrics to IT teams as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum two (2) years software or application development experience. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or related field and Minimum three (3) years experience in IT or a related field, including Minimum one (1) year in information security, network engineering, or application development.
