Head of Enterprise Digital Assets & Tokenization
S&P Global New York, New York
This job is with S&P Global, an inclusive employer and a member of myGwork - the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community. Please do not contact the recruiter directly. About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 14 The Team The Head of Enterprise Digital Assets & Tokenization leads S&P Global's central Digital Assets & Tokenization team, reporting to S&P DJI's Head of Business Acceleration & Special Projects, who oversees the team on behalf of S&P Global's Head of DeFi (Chief Product & Operations Officer, S&P DJI). S&P Global's position is straightforward: markets execute on trust, and S&P anchors it - on every rail. Our data, identifiers, benchmarks, indices and risk assessments are the infrastructure of trusted workflows, and they must be as authoritative onchain as they are today. This is a small, senior team with an enterprise mandate to make that happen: set direction, prioritize where the firm invests, unblock divisions, and land the external partnerships that de-risk each initiative. The team is deliberately lean. It is not a shadow product organization and not a research function. Divisions own delivery and revenue; this team sets the agenda, sponsors funding, brings partners to the table and holds the enterprise to a bias for in-production outcomes rather than pilots. Delivery capacity is drawn from divisional execution pods and from Kensho engineering. The role has two direct reports at the outset, with scope to grow as the portfolio warrants. Responsibilities and Impact Enterprise Strategy, Prioritization & Capital Allocation Own the enterprise digital assets and tokenization strategy day-to-day, translating it into a prioritized, funded and sequenced portfolio of initiatives across divisions. Run a single intake for divisional requests and enterprise-originated opportunities; apply and continuously sharpen the "Start Now" screening criteria and stage gates covering division readiness, resourcing, partner commitment and regulatory sensitivity. Co-own and sponsor business cases that secure investment at both enterprise and divisional level; make explicit recommendations on what to start, what to hold and what to stop. Maintain a defensible, evidence-based view of market direction - tokenization economics, onchain market structure, and the AI blockchain intersection - and use it to keep the firm's portfolio ahead of, not behind, client demand. Delivery & Execution with Divisions Drive priority initiatives to in-production status with paying customers, augmenting divisional teams that lack capacity, depth or delivery muscle. Appoint and hold a single accountable owner for each enterprise or divisional opportunity; empower them to execute and remove the obstacles they cannot clear themselves. Build the playbooks, trained people and repeatable processes that divisions own after handover, so central involvement is time-boxed by design. Maintain a live enterprise view of initiative milestones, decisions and dependencies; cut duplication and connect complementary work across divisions. External Partnerships & Commercial Development Build and personally hold senior relationships across the institutions that matter most in onchain capital markets - onchain-native platforms, issuers, protocols and infrastructure providers, and the banks, asset managers and market infrastructure firms moving onto these rails. Negotiate partnerships in which counterparties co-invest, commit to production use and provide the requirements that ensure fit within their workflows; avoid peripheral collaborations that consume time without producing adoption. Shape commercial constructs for onchain distribution - consumption and per-call economics, licensing terms, and pricing models suited to agent- and protocol-mediated consumption - in partnership with divisional commercial and legal teams. Represent S&P Global externally with credibility: conferences, standards bodies, working groups, industry consortia, and direct engagement with founders, investors and executives. Internal Alignment, Governance & Risk Convene and run the enterprise governance forum for digital assets, preparing the material and framing the decisions that senior sponsors need to make. Align divisions, corporate functions and enterprise leadership behind a shared set of priorities, resolving competing interests and sequencing trade-offs so that initiatives advance on mutual benefit rather than mandate. Keep Legal, Risk and Compliance sighted on everything in flight; run a lightweight, fast checkpoint before any initiative moves from exploration to pilot or commitment, protecting the firm from legal, compliance and reputational exposure. Escalate cleanly and early: surface new opportunities, emerging risks and stop decisions to the governing council with a clear recommendation. Leadership & Influence Lead a small, high-calibre team and grow it as the portfolio warrants; set a standard of ownership, pace and evidence-based argument. Work with talent and engineering leadership to build protocol and AI blockchain capability across the firm, including through Kensho. Act as a trusted advisor to divisional and enterprise leaders: direct about trade-offs, credible on the technology, and grounded in commercial reality. Operate almost entirely through influence rather than direct authority, across a global, matrixed organization. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in capital markets, asset management, financial data and infrastructure, or digital assets, including senior roles with enterprise-wide or firm-building scope. Demonstrated hands-on experience in digital assets: tokenized products, digital asset funds or indices, onchain infrastructure, or the operational and control build-out required to bring them to market. Operator experience is valued well above observer experience. Proven track record of standing up new businesses, products or functions from zero to production, including vendor, counterparty and partner selection, launch, and the operating processes that sustain them. An established external network across onchain-native firms and traditional financial institutions, and the credibility to open and hold senior relationships from a standing start. Commercial judgment: experience building business cases, structuring partnerships and commercial terms, and making disciplined calls on where to invest and where to walk away. Demonstrated success aligning competing priorities and stakeholder interests across independent business units, and delivering through influence rather than direct authority. Executive-level communication: able to brief senior leadership and external principals with equal clarity, and to challenge as well as partner. Comfort operating within regulatory, legal and compliance constraints, and partnering with control functions to move quickly without creating exposure. Preferred Qualifications Experience launching regulated, index-linked or benchmark-linked products, or working with ratings, reference data, identifiers or index production. Sufficient technical fluency in blockchain architecture, smart contracts and onchain data to engage engineering teams and partners substantively; a hands-on engineering background is not required. Experience building and scaling small teams, and handing capability over to larger organizations. Exposure to board, investment committee or council-level governance. Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $185,000 to $265,000 . Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. Data Platform Lead
Convene Hospitality Group Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Job Description Job Description Convene Hospitality Group (CHG) operates a global portfolio of lifestyle brands focused on creating places and experiences that bring people together. The company designs, develops, and operates hospitality-driven destinations to host gatherings of all kinds, ranging from small corporate meetings to immersive brand activations and beyond. We love bringing people together in person, and that passion for great experiences extends to our employees as well. If you're interested in creating inspiring moments of connection, consider joining our team. Data Platform Lead We're hiring a hands-on Data Platform Lead, to join Convene Hospitality Group's (CHG) Technology organization. You'll own our data platform end to end, from architecture to how we model the business, and you'll manage the analytics engineers who build on it. Data platform modernization and AI-first development are top priorities, and this role sits at the center of both, working hand in hand with the product engineers whose systems create much of our data. Today, our marts mostly mirror the systems they come from. Salesforce data looks like Salesforce, NetSuite data looks like NetSuite. You'll reshape our models around how the business runs, organized by domain, and layer governed dashboards and conversational analytics on top. In one year, a finance lead, a venue GM, and an AI agent should all be able to ask a question in plain language and get the same trusted answer. Today we run Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran. You'll help us rearchitect for where CHG is headed: building on Snowflake's native capabilities (semantic views, Cortex, and its agent tooling), rolling out ThoughtSpot, and filling gaps like observability. This is a hands-on management role, open to first-time managers. If you've led as a tech lead, mentored engineers, or directed contractors, you'll get direct coaching from a VP of Engineering who develops first-time leaders. Experienced managers who still want to build are welcome too. What You'll Do: Own the data platform end to end. Architecture, reliability, and roadmap from source to decision across Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran. Move platform configuration from the UI into Terraform, in coordination with Cloud Infrastructure, so warehouses, roles, grants and connectors are versioned, reviewed and reproducible. Rethink how we model the business. Move us from source-shaped marts to domain-oriented models built around how CHG runs. Set the modeling standards, naming conventions and review practices the team builds on. Work backward from the business question. Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations and venue leadership to turn the questions they need answered into models, metrics and definitions they trust. Partner closely with product engineering. Work with product squads on schema design, data contracts, and upstream changes, so the platform and products evolve together. Own data quality and observability. Set the testing standards, contracts, and reconciliation checks that make our numbers trustworthy, and alert an owner before a stakeholder finds a broken dashboard. Own the metrics and BI layer. Roll out our BI tool and build the semantic layer behind governed dashboards in Snowflake semantic views, with certified metrics and shared definitions, so a number means the same thing everywhere it shows up. Bring conversational analytics online, safely. Stand up natural-language querying and agents on Snowflake's native tools, with the evals and guardrails that keep agent, dashboard, and human answers in sync. Govern the data. Access control, PII handling and accessible documentation across analytics and AI. Lead and grow analytics engineering. Manage and hire our analytics engineers, and direct the contractors we work with today. Coach through code review, pairing, and clear expectations. Keep your hands on the keyboard. Write dbt models, review PRs, debug pipelines and prototype new approaches. Expect to build a lot, especially early on. What We Look For: You have 7+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering or data architecture, including building a modern data platform that people rely on in production. You use AI agents for real multi-step work: building models, writing tests, debugging pipelines and documenting what exists. You write clear specs, give agents the right context, and verify what they produce against the real system. You're deep on dbt and Snowflake. You've designed project structure, testing strategy and warehouse performance at scale, and you manage the platform as code with Terraform or similar. You're fluent in data modeling and have moved a team from source-shaped models to business-shaped, domain-oriented marts, then seen the change through to adoption. You've built data quality and observability practices: tests, contracts, freshness monitoring and alerting that people trust. You've built a semantic layer and governed metrics that people trust, and you understand what it takes to make natural-language and agent-driven analytics accurate. You've worked with managed ingestion like Fivetran and know where it fits and where it breaks. You've led beyond your own work: as a tech lead on a multi-person project, mentoring engineers, running interview loops, or directing contractors or vendors. You explain clearly to engineers and non-engineers. You can walk an analyst through a modeling decision and a CFO through a metric definition. You're high agency. You set direction without waiting for a spec, make architecture calls, and write down your reasoning. Bonus Points You've rolled out ThoughtSpot or another search-driven BI tool. You've unleashed an autonomous agent in the wild, and built the fencing, monitoring and improvement loop around it. You've modeled data from Salesforce, NetSuite or HRIS platforms. You've prepared data for AI use cases: retrieval, agents or feature pipelines. You've worked in hospitality, events, real estate or another customer-centric, multi-location business. Compensation: The above job definition information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. Data Platform Lead
Convene Hospitality Group New York, New York
Data Platform Lead
Convene Hospitality Group Washington, Washington DC
It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required of employees assigned to this job. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Here's what you can expect: Health & Wellness: Day-one health coverage for you and your family, 24/7 virtual care, emotional well-being support, and fertility & family planning benefits. Because your well-being matters, inside and outside of work. Time Off & Balance: Generous PTO, your birthday off (because, of course!), paid parental leave, and a year-end holiday closure to recharge. Financial Growth: 401K with company match and support for education, courses, and certifications. We invest in you so you can grow personally and professionally. Development & Recognition: Ongoing career growth opportunities plus recognition programs to celebrate milestones. Community & Impact: Volunteer and give-back opportunities, and the chance to make a real impact in the work you do. At Convene Hospitality Group, we believe great teams are built by bringing together people with different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. Our values of GRIT (Genuine, Relentless, Integrity, and Teamwork) shape how we show up for each other every day. We want everyone here to feel welcome, supported, and free to be themselves. If you're excited to grow, learn, and make an impact, we'd love to have you on the team. Convene Hospitality Group is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
