Job Description Job Description Title: CMM Programmer/Quality Inspect Position Type: Full-Time/Regular Division: NxEdge Department: Quality Location: NxEdge - Morgan Hill Job Summary & Job Duties Salary Range - $40.00 - $45.00 DOE Must have the personality and temperament to work as part of a team. • Use PC-DMIS software to create CMM programs for complex three-dimensional parts for consistent, accurate and efficient inspection. • Collaborate with other programmers, Machinists and Engineering team on manufacturing process development. • Work closely with Quality Control Inspectors on proving out new programs to the extent of having a robust, reliable and repeatable process. • Create and update detailed work instructions which could include text, sketches, and photographs. • Trouble shoot, up rev, improve and streamline existing CMM programs. • Prepare required inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection results including deviations from engineering specifications. • Maintain a clean work area ensuring strict adherence to the 5S Standards. • Comply with established safety directives. • Be familiar with Quality Management System requirements and follow procedures as applicable. • Maintain accurate time keeping. • Perform First Article (FA) inspection to validate product requirements without assistance. • Perform or assist with internal QMS audits. • Present hardware and documentation for source inspection review to customer and/or government representatives. • Assist in the training of other personnel as required. • Read and understand supplier performance data. • Perform calibration process. • Inspect complex machined and molded tools, fixtures, and parts using advanced measuring and layout instruments and equipment and visual and mechanical inspection methods. • Assist Engineering with special validation requirements (prototypes, pre-production builds; all of which may have limited information). • Work from written or verbal instructions, detailed engineering drawings and 3D models. • Set up, load programs and run a programmable CMM. • Participate when needed in design reviews on cross-functional teams to ensure that conformance to specification, inspect-ability, reliability, safety and quality system objectives are met. Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Strong PC-Dimas level 3 programmer with 7+ years metrology experience. • Meticulous attention to detail. • Possess excellent communication skills which include verbal and written to interface effectively with other employees or management. • Ability to identify inspection errors and initiate corrective actions. • Advanced GD&T interpretation skills. • Must be able to understand & follow quality processes and procedures. • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control tools (SPC). • Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 35 pounds. • Must be able to wear the necessary PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, etc.) • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. • Overtime and weekends could be required during heavy workload or to meet special customer demands. • Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and chemicals, with protective equipment provided as needed. • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. • Visual acuity to inspect parts and review detailed documents and reports. • Flexible to train in other work areas as needed. • Must epitomize the Company core values: safety, excellence, and respect. Job Description Job Description About Ayo We are a venture-backed early-stage startup developing processors specialized for machine learning. The processor will provide orders or magnitude improvement in speed and power efficiency with a goal of unseating the GPU as the dominant computing platform for AI. The Role We are seeking a deep AI practitioner to join as a founding team member - someone with hands-on experience working on or alongside a foundation model at scale, who understands what happens under the hood when splitting jobs across thousands of GPUs, and who is excited to bring that depth to novel hardware. They have a full-stack understanding of machine learning architectures, love to optimize algorithms across disciplinary boundaries, and will deploy and train models directly on our prototype chips to help us prove out what our processor can do - no prior hardware experience required. What You'll Do: Deploy and run trained models on prototype hardware and digital twins, producing working demonstrations on our chips. Develop and adapt algorithms to train models on novel processing environments, including our prototype hardware. Work with hardware engineers to define and refine processor architecture based on insights learned through model training and experimentation. Maintain a deep curiosity about what makes AI systems work - and bring that curiosity to bear on how they run on new hardware. Support go-to-market strategy development What We're Looking For: PhD in machine learning, representation learning, theory of computation, or a related field - or equivalent industry experience working on foundation models at scale. Experience training models at scale - distributed training across many GPUs, working with large datasets and compute. Has built and trained neural networks from scratch Deep knowledge of the structure and internal operation of neural networks - including how and why they behave the way they do (e.g. interpretability or explainability work is a plus). Excitement about applying deep AI expertise to new and novel hardware environments - you don't need prior experience with photonics or silicon, but you want to learn.
