AWS Solutions Architect

Guidehouse is seeking a visionary AWS Solutions Architect to lead solutioning efforts and build a high-performance Solution Architecture Center of Excellence within the Technology Cloud and Application Development team. This role focuses on designing, delivering, and scaling world class AWS solutions aligned with the AWS Well Architected Framework.

What You Will Do
  • Shape the Future of Solution Architecture: Be a cornerstone of our new Solution Architecture Center of Excellence, driving modernization, standardization, and acceleration of solutioning practices across the enterprise.
  • Architect World Class AWS Solutions: Design and scale AWS based architectures grounded in the AWS Well Architected Framework, ensuring solutions are secure, reliable, cost optimized, and operationally excellent.
  • Deliver Predictable Outcomes: Define golden paths for repeatable solution delivery, leveraging AWS services such as Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon SageMaker, and AWS Glue.
  • Lead Go-to-Market Innovation: Create reusable solution assets, demo environments, delivery playbooks, and CI/CD pipelines that empower sales and delivery teams to operate with precision and speed.
  • Elevate Our Brand: Partner with proposal teams to craft compelling, technically sound proposals and ensure our architectural vision shines in every client interaction and marketing initiative.
  • Drive Business Outcomes: Collaborate with proposal teams to estimate level of effort and pricing for solutions you define, ensuring proposals are competitive and achievable.
  • Champion Agile & DevSecOps: Embed Agile delivery principles, DevSecOps practices, and AI enabled development tools into solution designs for faster, secure, and intelligent delivery.
  • Influence the Ecosystem: Build strategic relationships with AWS and industry leaders, positioning Guidehouse as a trusted innovator and thought leader.
  • Inspire Talent: Attract, mentor, and grow a high performing team of architects and engineers-leveraging your network and reputation to build a culture of excellence.
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in solution architecture, cloud engineering, or enterprise application development
  • At least 5 years in a solution architect role guiding architecture teams or centers of excellence
  • Ability to travel 50%
  • Proven track record of building and scaling AWS based cloud native solutions across multiple industries or verticals
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
  • Deep familiarity with AWS services: S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SageMaker, Glue, and AWS DevOps tools
  • Strong understanding of AWS Well Architected Framework, microservices, containerization (ECS/EKS), CI/CD, DevSecOps, and API first design
  • Experience developing demo environments, reusable assets, and delivery playbooks for sales and implementation teams
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to inspire cross functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience supporting strategic proposals, client marketing efforts, and brand building initiatives
  • Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and a US Citizen.
Nice to Have
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Additional certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Security Specialty, AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty, AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, and AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty are highly valued
Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $226,000.00 $376,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
