Data Center Chief Engineer Career Opportunity The Data Center Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall performance, operation, and maintenance of all critical infrastructure systems supporting the data center. This role ensures continuous uptime, optimal energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and industry standards. The Chief Engineer leads the technical team in managing power, cooling, mechanical, and electrical systems while driving innovation and operational excellence. Data Center Chief Engineer Key Responsibilities Operations & Maintenance: Oversee daily operations of critical systems including HVAC, UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, and fire suppression systems. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure peak efficiency and high availability. Strategic & Technical Oversight: Develop long-term strategies for capacity planning, system upgrades, and energy efficiency improvements. Oversee infrastructure commissioning for new data center builds or expansions. Evaluate new technologies for improving reliability, automation, and sustainability. Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with applicable codes (NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, OSHA, etc.) and corporate standards. Conduct risk assessments and root cause analyses for incidents or failures. Maintain detailed documentation and reporting for audits, SLAs, and KPIs. Data Center Chief Engineer Required Skills and Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Facilities Engineering and/or Computer Science related studies (Master s preferred). 10+ years of experience in data center operations or mission-critical environments, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of high-availability power and cooling systems, electrical distribution, and automation controls. Experience with BMS/DCIM systems, load management, and energy analytics is a plus. Familiarity with Tier standards (Uptime Institute) and ISO/ITIL processes. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage complex projects under pressure with high attention to detail. Excellent cross-team collaboration and vendor management abilities.

The Technician will be expected to meet weekly service and productivity goals. The Technician will work with the Company to obtain local city listing agents. The Technician is also responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized vehicle and ensuring a safe environment for his/herself, co-workers and customers.Responsibilities includeService, install, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot on a variety of fire alarm systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.Read fire alarm data sheets, system manuals, blueprints as required.Coordinate installations with fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls.Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean up installation debris.Meet daily/weekly service and productivity goals.Serve as a mentor and share knowledge/experience with others.Perform administrative duties including completing service acknowledgements, NFPA Record of completion documents and other supporting documentation.Maintain a fully stocked company vehicle in order to provide the best customer service with as few return trips as necessary.
