RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION The Supervisor II will be responsible for and knowledgeable in a variety of subjects pertaining to DoD enterprise environments. These subjects and software include: Managing Windows and Red Hat systems, administering Active Directory, and overseeing network operations within secure enclaves, and incorporating security best practices like least privilege and robust authentication. Section Supervisor II Key Responsibilities: Will be involved with the deployment and administration of classified systems. This includes the full lifecycle of user account management, from creation and initial login support (password changes, email configuration, and network share mapping) to the eventual decommissioning of accounts. Manages user account permissions and access controls on the enterprise network through the IAO Express system. Will assist with the deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of all organizational IT hardware and software. This includes the physical installation of workstations, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), associated structured cabling and assisting in the IT asset procurement process. Will conduct regular, systematic inventories of all hardware and software assets to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Develops and maintains comprehensive technical documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the team. Will work other tasks as assigned, including being cross utilized in other sections of the department and will be required to learn to operate and maintain said systems. Must be willing to work nonstandard tours of duties, which include nights, weekends, and overtime. The overtime may be short or no notice. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to Top Secret with Special Access. Must obtain and maintain DoD IAM Level II certification (CompTIA Security+) certification within 180 days of date hired. Must be able to work independently and as a leader of a team. To complete each of these tasks and have very strong verbal and written communications skills. Must be willing to implement and enforce new and updating existing network system administration policies and willing to identify network and system administration weaknesses and problem areas and provide recommendations for corrective actions. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE The candidate must possess a base of knowledge sufficient to oversee the performance of technically diverse tasks assigned to the Shop. This knowledge and these skills may be obtained by graduation from a two to four-year technical institute or college, or possess equivalent formal technical training or military equivalent and 5 or more years experience in a directly related technical working environment, including 2 or more years as a supervisor. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interface with and effectively direct subordinates. Must have an in-depth working knowledge of the technical concepts, principles and requirements associated with the work unit. Must have a practical knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices sufficient to perform as an effective supervisor. The candidate must possess a valid, state issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $97,000 to $120,000 annually. WORKING CONDITIONS This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. The incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet. Outdoor duties may be performed on gravel, or shingled roof. Climbing stairs, ladders, towers and scaffolds, indoors or outdoors is required. Government vehicle is used on an as needed basis. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. Ability to work in a field environment with some shift work, at remote locations with occasional overnight assignments. Travel to remote working locations required.
