The RM&SH Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, maintainability, and testability of systems, equipment, and processes throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves applying engineering principles and industry best practices to minimize operational risks, improve system availability, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Position Responsibilities Analyze system requirements and develop an RM&SH engineering program plan to achieve RM&SH objectives. Allocate and predict failure rates (Mean Time Between Failure) for components and systems and measure against program requirements. Develop Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) to represent the relationship between components of a system and asses overall system reliability. Perform Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate risk of system failure and support proposed changes in design. Assess Fault Detection and Fault Isolation metrics for Availability impacts and concerns. Actively participate on design teams, provide guidance and recommendations to designers and management to ensure safety and reliability objectives are met. Supervise testing and demonstrations at supplier, plant, or field locations to evaluate reliability factors, such as numbers and causes of unit failures or maintainability risks.
