Overview Bowhead seeks a Wideband Watch Office (WBWO) Signal Analyst at Schriever Space Force Base. The Wideband Signals Analyst will be proficient in the duties of the Transmission Controller position at the Space Force's Wideband SATCOM Operations Centers (WSOC). The Wideband Watch Office provides oversight and monitoring of the Wideband SATCOM Operations and Management System Network (WSOMSNet) and engages Wideband SATCOM Operations Centers (WSOC) to maintain situational awareness of Wideband MILSATCOM's space-based assets and ground control infrastructure status. The Signal Analyst in the WBWO will report operational and maintenance issues to the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC). The WBWO utilizes the DOSS, CNPS, WRMS, and GTC3S as the primary tools to perform their oversight and monitoring tasks. Responsibilities • Shall provide Wideband Support as it relates to the duties of the Consolidated-Satellite Systems Expert (C-SSE). • Monitor and maintain Situational Awareness of all activities related to the WSOCs and RSSCs Reviewing proposed satellite command plans and provides troubleshooting assistance to the WSOCs, RSSCs, and SATCOM terminals. • Be familiar with and follow all Transmission Controller Operating Instructions contained in the Wideband Controllers Guide (WCG). • Review the Control Change Queue in CNPS; document changes to CNPS plans, Verify the performance of transmission links for all assigned satellites by using the WRMS. • Analyze appropriate 8-Hour Reports to verify transmission and terminal performance and status. Engage with WSOCs to perform adjustments necessary to achieve established operating parameters. Overview SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (WINDOWS) (RDTE) Bowhead seeks a Systems Administrator (Windows) to provide customer support and technical assistance to users supporting a Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Program in Dahlgren, VA at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Responsibilities The Systems Administrator will be responsible for: Answering questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products installed on Windows 11 Computers. Applying advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures. Specific support consists of troubleshooting hardware, software, and network related issues encountered by users. Hardware support includes, but not limited to Intel Core based PCs, overhead projectors, soft boards, telecommunications, laser and inkjet printers, scanners, and Common Access Cards (CAC). Software support includes but not limited to Windows operating systems currently supported by Microsoft, Microsoft Office Suite, and various specialty engineering and scientific development tools. Installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches and to resolve software related issues and Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs). Systems Administrator will the established Incident Tickets and Change Request process to track support requests using ServiceNow. Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of the organizational mailbox/ServiceNow to ensure that all users receive timely support in response to their requests for assistance. Maintain and develop IT related procedures required to support the organization. Support also includes working with the organizations Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for achieving system accreditation. Provide recommendation to future IT needs of the organization. Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Assist in the preparation of a monthly progress and status report. Qualifications Four (4) or more years of professional experience. High School Diploma required or BA/BS degree preferred Demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills along with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and assist others to resolve IT related issues is essential. Must have knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and administration of computer systems in a LAN/WAN environment. Requires a strong understanding of current Microsoft supported Windows operating systems. An understanding of Linux operating systems is desirable. DoD Directive 8570.1 Information Assurance Technical Level II certification required (i.e., Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security). Overview Avaya Voice Engineer (PSTS-9): Bowhead seeks a Avaya Voice Engineer to provide Base Telecom Support at the Puget Sound, WA. The Telecom Mechanic effort will provide telecommunications operations and maintenance (O&M). This includes secure and reliable, classified and unclassified, voice and data services in support of Command, Control, Computer, Communications and Information (C4I) operations and exercises.
