Drupal Developer

Our client are looking for a software developer who has a solid foundation of Drupal development experience together with in-depth PHP and MySQL knowledge. As a Drupal Developer your responsibilities will be: • to use Drupal 7 to develop and extend existing contrib and custom modules in the building of and maintaining client websites. • installation, configuration and theming of Drupal based websites. • work closely with managers to define and estimate the technical scope of web projects. • to ensure project requirements and timescales are met. • keep informed of industry best practice and advances. • to provide occasional client training • interact with remote teams to ensure complete delivery of web applications. • provide documentation as required and contribute to peer code reviews, planning sessions, code sprints and routine status stand-ups • use analytical skills to identify and resolve coding, development and/or process issues. • performance of site maintenance and upgrades. The key skills and experience our client are looking for are: • a highly motivated and talented digital developer with relevant proven commercial experience who is fluent in Drupal (minimum 1 years experience), PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery • have a degree in computer science or a relevant field. • have experience with Drupal architecture, best practices and coding standards. • Intermediate proficiency in Linux administration, Apache configuration, MySQL database design and PHP web development. • strong communication and interpersonal skills. • experience and/or knowledge of Agile software development methodologies. • experience of using Atlassian JIRA project and issue tracking software or similar tools. • knowledge of code repository revision control tools such as SVM, GIT • proficiency in hand-coded W3C compliant Javascript, HTML and CSS In return our client offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
