Our high profile client, based in Chippenham, seek a Configuration Analyst to join their team. Responsibilities: • Effective prosecution of the Configuration Management process using controlled processes, procedures and tools to maintain the Configuration Management System and continued compliance to required ISO20K accreditation. • Production and delivery of reports - Customer, Status accounting, Trend analysis, ad-hoc. • Creation and maintenance of baselines and releases. • Update and maintenance of the Configuration Management toolsets. • Effective integration and interaction with other Service Support and Delivery process areas, including regular review of all interaction points and implementation of any corrective actions. • Managing and performing ad-hoc Configuration Management requests. • Preparation and delivery of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) deposits. • Produce software builds on behalf of Release Management. Key Skills: • Experience with service management toolsets. • Good understanding of all Service disciplines - e.g. Change, Incident, Problem, Release etc. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail. • Able to analyse, diagnose, design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets. • Ability to write, review and accurately follow work instructions and procedures. • Proficient in the use of MS Office products. Desirable (but not essential): • Good understanding of IT hardware, software and media. • PVCS Version Manager and PVCS Tracker administration experience. • Windows/Unix batch files/SQL scripting. • Experience in compiling MSI installation scripts. • Knowledge of Build and Release Management procedures & techniques with an awareness of software compilation on Microsoft and/or Solaris platforms.
