Telephony Engineer Required!Telephony / VoIP / Avaya / Alcatel / 3rd Line Support / HP / Juniper / Cisco / Palo / Infrastructure / Deployment / VLANS / Layer 2 & 3 Connectivity / TCP/IP / Wireless / LAN Switching / CCNA / SC Cleared / SC Clearance / Security Cleared / Excellent Salary plus Benefits / BasingstokeAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Telephony Engineer, to be part of a FTSE 100 organisation, located in Basingstoke on a permanent basis.You will be working closely with architects, responsible for understanding client(s) business requirements and translating these into technical solutions. You will provide delivery, support and maintenance to SME scaled infrastructures and have the opportunity to work on large project based work, gaining full end to end lifecycle experience.Responsibilities include;To manage, troubleshoot and operate and administer the Telephony services supporting the business both on site and cloud based.Ensure all services provided are delivered within agreed SLAs and financial commitmentsWorking with outside vendors as needed to contribute to the improvementof new/enhanced telephony infrastructure support services and solutionsYou will carry out investigations into devices, respond to user incidents, install hardware and make appropriate adjustments and work to documented process and abide by all policies.Provision of high quality support and configuration services and solutions for remote and office based usersManaging internal and external customer escalations as requiredEnsure all infrastructure changes are reviewed, assessed and implemented successfully in line with the change management processInterface and build strong relationships with other teamsWorking with other teams, lead and contribute to the development of new solutions & servicesAdhere to the ITIL Service Management Framework. ExperienceDemonstrable experience in delivering both on site and Cloud based telephony support technology solutions and services to internal/external clientsDemonstrable experience in managing and monitoring the technical infrastructure and configuration itemsAble to demonstrate an understanding of wide range of infrastructure technologies, including:o Network and telephony infrastructure items:Analogue and IP telephony technologiesHP/Cisco LAN switchesCisco, Juniper and Palo WAN routers and firewallsWireless LAN Controllers and AP's,o DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SNMP serviceso VLAN and VRF solutionsGood understanding Voice over IP (VoIP)Good understanding of Wireless technologyLayer 2 / Layer 3 connectivityGood understanding of Cisco IOS - predominantly in Switching LAN environmentMitel & Alcatel on premise Telephony SolutionsAvaya Managed VoiceHorizon (Gamma) Cloud based Telephony SolutionsCisco Switches - 2960, 3560, 3570HP switchesCisco access Points and associated connectivityAble to manage major incidents and projects when under pressure from customers during incident resolutionExperienced in managing 3rd party suppliers and service contractsProven customer and relationship management skillsAwareness and experience of operating to project management processes (ideally Prince 2)Full Driving LicenseSC Security Cleared via relevant authorised body or eligible to obtain clearanceShould you feel that you possess the above skills, then please submit your CV today for immediate consideration.Capita Resourcing welcome applications from all suitably qualified people regardless of gender, race, disability, age or sexual orientation.
