My client, one of the fastest growing Digital Agencies / Software Houses is currently in search of a motivated Senior Node.js Developer / Senior Javascript Developer to demonstrate expertise in JavaScript (Node.js), asynchronous development, distributed systems and document databases.
The aim is to build and evolve new open source and cloud-based eCommerce technology, applications and platforms.
The Node.JS Developer / Javascript Developer who has comprehensive professional credentials and strong management skills, wanting a principal role in one of the top in-house eCommerce development operations. This is a brilliant prospect for an exceptional individual who is genuinely passionate about modern technology. The ideal candidate will:
• Have good knowledge of and experience with JavaScript development, in particular with Node.js, including vital frameworks and modules such as NPM, Express or HAPI, Cluster, async, request, underscore or Lo-Dash, Passport etc.
• Possess an understanding of JavaScript as a language - its strengths and weaknesses, the various methods in which it can be used, how to make it performant and maintainable, etc.
• Have significant knowledge of node.js and crucial aspects of using it. E.g. how to deploy and scale, ensure it is made resilient and maintainable (managing exceptions and process crashes) and enabling debugging
• Be broad-minded in their approach to technology stacks and have some experience of other languages like Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, PHP or Go
• Have a good knowledge of databases - SQL with MySQL, and some experience with NOSQL databases. Ideally this would include one of Redis, MongoDB and CouchDB or Couchbase
• Understand web services and APIs - REST, SOAP and other integration technologies
• Have good knowledge of TDD and BDD, including the leading tools and scripts used
• Be proficient in Continuous Integration and DevOps approaches, and Developer tooling and productivity
• Be experienced in project building online web sites and applications
