*Data Engineer/Oracle Engineer - London or Bristol - £500 per day * My client is looking for a dynamic Data Engineer to join their Data & Business Intelligence team currently working on several business-critical projects positioning data with ODI - Oracle Data Integrator at its core. You will be responsible for shaping and developing the data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics. Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple cloud platforms. Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems. To apply the chosen Data Engineer will have the following experience: Minimum 5 years of experience: Building, enhancing, supporting data warehouse solutions using Oracle 12c & 19c databases Proven technical ability in developing, enhancing, tuning and supporting ETL/ELT and data integration solutions Oracle Data Integrator 12c and 19c Strong experience with a PL/SQL experience including development of packages and procedures with robust error handling Star schema/Dimensional modelling Practical experience of developing within Snowflake would be advantageous Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets. Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. Ideally a Data Engineer who has a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres, BigQuery, dynamoDB. An understanding of streaming technologies such AWS DMS, Kafka or Golden Gate to enable Real Time analytics Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc. Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, EMR, RDS, Redshift Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc Experience with object-oriented/object function Scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc. Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow.
