We have a great opportunity for a talented Senior Front End Developer to join our growing Application Development team. We are looking for someone to lead our front end team, to help mentor and grow our front end developers, to bring in new ideas and to shake up how we do things, and to produce high quality websites, intranets, etc. for our clients.
The successful candidate needs to be passionate about programming, enjoy motivating others and leading by example, have a proven ability to learn new skills and work on short sprints to meet tight deadlines, have a keen eye for detail, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and want to participate in building a world class programming team.
Your qualifications, experience and attributes:
Extensive commercial experience of the following is essential (expert knowledge of):
HTML 5 & CSS 3 (XHTML, CSS, DOM)
JavaScript/AJAX, JQuery Framework and other JavaScript UI frameworks/patterns,
Pixel-perfect HTML rendition of Photoshop templates;
Image manipulation through Photoshop/The GIMP;
Strong attention to detail and quality;
Strong interpersonal and communications skills necessary to build trust and respect both externally and internally;
Ability to manage many urgent and often conflicting priorities;
Flexibility and team focused, non-hierarchical approach with a ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude to getting the job done; and
A great sense of humour and fun!
Some commercial experience of the following would be highly beneficial:
Implementation of responsive design / mobile front-end development
Website testing experience with Cross Browser compatibility.
Knowledge of W3C WCAG 2.0;
CSS and box model; and
Good understanding of the different image types and when to use them.
