Week to week contact hours will vary depending on current workload and with the aim of meeting the needs of employers. You will be embedded into the Digital Technologies department, working closely with the Curriculum Director and Assistant Principal and their teams. You will perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students’ work, and liaise with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required. Provide educational guidance, support and counselling for all students whilst participating in the marketing, planning, assessment and evaluation of course provision. You will have the opportunity to lead, shape and inspire our newly formed blood technology product centre which will contain 40+ colleagues as well as partners and suppliers which will deliver the programme and also create a sustainable change capability in the organisation to deliver future demand. You also engage with senior stakeholders including executives and board members as you are tasked with communicating clear programme updates both written & verbal as well as work on strategic planning initiatives with the senior management team, deputising for the Assistant Director of Blood Technology when required. About you We are looking for senior candidates who have significant experience in both leading and delivering complex technical change to national critical applications and infrastructure (NCI) as well as delivering large scale software modernisation / legacy transformation in the public sector. We are looking for candidates who bring a positive, can-do attitude to their work and are able to lead an organisation through change and build and maintain a high quality and engaged team. We expect you to be well versed in project and delivery management methodologies (both agile and waterfall) and ideally have a related qualification or degree to underpin your practical experience. We will also look for you to: Have extensive experience of managing strategic business programmes through the project lifecycle from inception to completion including the realisation of benefits. Have strong knowledge and experience of managing project and programme budgets, contributing to financial budget setting and efficiency initiatives. Proven leadership and management experience, including remote line management of staff and external suppliers and contractors Demonstrate a stong focus on performance management, developing performance management systems and holding colleagues to account Be a expert communicator able to present complex and sensitive information to senior stakeholders clearly both verbally and written Be able to review and assimilate a wide variety of information and draw conclusions from data using analytical skills Have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, ensuring delivery of outcomes within timescales and available resources Be able to make significant budgetary and management decisions autonomously or with limited input Be capable of provide leadership and professional advice in a challenging and changing environment About us At NHSBT, we set standards that other healthcare organisations aspire to.
