The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity in our highly skilled and experienced IT department for a Business Intelligence Developer. Your primary responsibility will be to provide self-service business intelligence (BI) data to different audiences. You'll also be providing 2nd and 3rd line support of our in-house bespoke solutions and applications used across the business, as well as oversee the release of enhancements to these, including configuration, testing and integration.
Main Duties
* Building and supporting efficient, stable, usable reports and peripheral applications to solve business problems. Surfacing the information to support key decision making.
* Partnering with business leads to identify and propose application system and internal website changes, enhancements and developments, and liaising with appropriate vendors and users to implement them.
* Work with Application Team Management to investigate operational requirements and model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures.
* Ensure SQL queries and reports are efficient and perform optimally.
* Continuous development of BI solutions
* Development of reporting (SSRS)
* Supporting and developing of reporting ensuring that data maintains integrity
The Person
You're a problem solver and an innovator. We're looking for a strong team player with excellent communication skills, the ability to mentor others and see projects through to completion. You'll have prior experience of hands on technical troubleshooting, and a real thirst for expanding your own knowledge.
If you have the following knowledge and experience, we want to talk to you:-
* MS SQL Server and Windows Server 2008 R2 onwards
* T-SQL
* MS BI Stack (SSRS, SSIS)
* Visual Studio
* Baseline MDX Knowledge
