Job Description:
Demonstrated experience building highly scalable, distributed software systems
Proficient with Java SDK, J2EE, Spring, JDBC and SQL, REST/SOAP API development
Experience developing using Agile scrum methodology and reporting progress through JIRA
Code management experience using SVN or Git or other version control system
Knowledge of ANT and/or Maven is preferred
Knowledge of Tomcat, AOP, SOAP UI is preferred
Preferred knowledge of basic network concepts, IP, Security Services and Ethernet
Experience with contributing to open source code is a plus
Experience in one or more open source Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate
Desired experience in one or more No-SQL databases – Hbase, Cassandra, Mongodb, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
Propose and help build proof of concepts, prototype
Provide estimates for development effort
Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Evaluate technical aspects of competing products
