Network Engineer (Cisco Routing Switching Firewalls Security ITIL CCNA). Leading UK technology services provider that specialise in finance markets is seeking a bright, ambitious Network Engineer to join their team.
As a Network Engineer you will focus on BAU activities such as performing maintenance on various components for both the multi-tenancy core network and customer networks. You'll help support clients through providing networking expertise, focussing mainly on Routing, Switching and Firewalls as well as security aspects. You'll build strong relationships with key customer contacts and suppliers and work in conjunction with Technical Consultants to interpret design documentation and implement solutions. You'll also work on smaller projects to scope, design and implement solutions and field escalations from 3rd line network related incidents as well as providing telephone support as required.
As a Network Engineer you'll be based in a professional, technology driven environment that offers excellent career progression and will be given the opportunity to take qualifications (e.g. CCNP) and constantly improve your skillset.
Requirements:
*Experience as a Network Engineer
*Good knowledge of Routing and Switching (ideally EIGRP, HSRP, BGP)
*Familiar with Firewalls, VPN and Remote Access technologies (Cisco ASA)
*Good knowledge of VOIP telephony systems
*Good understanding of service support and delivery in an ITIL based environment
*Excellent communication skills and client facing ability
