Job purpose:

We are currently recruiting for a Database Analyst to work for a creative marketing agency within the automotive industry. The Database Analyst will be based in our client's office in Milton Keynes.

You will become part of the team providing the data processing and analysis necessary to run the company's programmes. Which will include processing client sales data, producing reports and dealing with ad hoc data queries. Along with assisting in supporting web team data requirements and providing sales analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Working with customer data and sales reporting

• Processing customer data on a regular basis
• Receiving and validating data from customers, spotting errors to ensure full data is always submitted on time and in the correct format
• Providing manufacturers and dealers with accurate sales data, empowering sales teams to increase sales and enable targeted marketing and sales promotions
• calculating accurate sales data and sales rebate values for dealers, restoring their margin on sales
• Issuing supplementary sales reports at month-end to the customer and field staff to complement the standard web-based reporting available to them
• maintaining the dealer database and associated functionality; including dealer codes, dealer name and contact details, dealer website access, the correct display of dealer data on the relevant websites and any other detail required for the specific programme in question
• Maintaining the price files in the system which are used for processing sales data; this includes the secure downloading of automotive manufacturer price files and the maintenance of price tables in the company system
• Supplying company account managers and the artwork studio with sales and pricing data to facilitate promotions and marketing
• Working with account management and others to develop meaningful sales analysis;
• Assisting web developers with data for upload to websites as required

• Proven analytical capabilities
• Good time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines

• Strong attention to detail, with ability to produce clear, concise reporting
• Ability to take ownership and be responsible for actions
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative

Skills and experience required:

• Working knowledge of Transact SQL (2008 onwards)
• Knowledge of SSRS /SSIS an advantage
• Knowledge of SSAS an advantage
• Microsoft office skills - Advance Excel essential
• Experience of or proven aptitude for data analysis and reporting
• Experience of other database and analysis packages
