Trust In Soda are looking to attract a VP of Engineering for a growing start up that we work with in West London. Working closely alongside the CTO and other Co-Founders, the VP of Engineering role is a completely new and exciting one.

I am looking for someone with start up experience, who thrives in fast-paced and high-pressure environments. You must also have the ability to influence and guide others to help them be the best they can.

The business, formed in early 2014 have just employed their 180th employee and have a product that Londoners are loving! They are now looking to expand into Global locations as they grow the business to a wider user base.

The Team

The team started small, but is now up to approximately 30 developers, data engineers, QA's & Data Scientists. This is made up of full time onsite, remote and Amsterdam based employees.

Within the team there is an abundance of talent, all hungry to be the best they can be. The primary languages being used are Ruby, Elixir & JavaScript (React).

Requirements

• 10 years development experience, minimum of 3 years people management
• Experience building engineering teams in a start-up environment
• Exposure to managing teams in various locations
• Experience managing relationships with C-level personnel
• An exceptional technical background
• Experience applying Agile techniques
• Knowledge of Ruby or JavaScript or Elixir
• Excellent Communication
• Confident and assertive (not arrogant or pushy)
• A leader, not a dictator
