The Opportunity: The post holder evaluates and develops SRUCs cyber security maturity to evaluate risks in answer to current and emerging global threats, to align with Scottish and UK Government objectives and SRUCs risk appetite and ensure these measures are continually monitored and improved. The experience you will bring to the team: Proven experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a consulting or national security environment. Strong understanding of security principles, risk management, and security frameworks. Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewall, and antivirus solutions. Knowledge of network protocols, security standards, and best practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
