The function is responsible for the delivery of IT to all UK based divisions to successfully enable our expanding business and assure operational delivery to critical functions and services.
This position involves the day to day management and support of two SharePoint 2013 farms as well as leading Sharepoint improvement initiatives and the migration of legacy systems, such as EMC Documentum into SharePoint. The role will also give the individual the opportunity to help shape the future of the SharePoint platform within the company with future concepts involving other business units within the larger organisation as well as partners and customers.
Main Duties
. The SharePoint Administrator will work on both front end configuration and the back end SharePoint farms
. Configuration and maintenance of Service Applications (Managed metadata, Search and users profiles service)
. Configuration and maintenance of the Raytheon UK security policies for sites across the platform, including SharePoint permissions
. Analysing and reporting upon Raytheon UK SharePoint usage and activity
. Creation, deletion, moving and copying of Raytheon UK sites across the platform
. Creation and management of Raytheon UK Site Collection and Site templates
. Creation and management of list/document libraries and content types
. Monitoring Raytheon UK SharePoint audit logs for any issues in the system; regular review of events and messages reported
. Determine index schedules
. Search engine configuration and optimisation
. Ensuring site-backups occur for the platform
. Administering routine releases and upgrades to the application
. Monitoring and updating allowable/prohibited file type storage
. Monitoring of data storage and usage analysis and SharePoint trends
. Management of site quotas and SQL content database sizes
. Regular review, clean-up, management and configuration of SharePoint accounts and sites
. Regularly auditing SharePoint environment
. Monitor SharePoint Health Analyser and associated rules
Candidate Requirements
Essential – Technical Skills
. Strong Knowledge of SharePoint 2013 and associated technologies: Web Parts, Master Pages, Managed Metadata
. Experience with SharePoint migrations tools such as Metalogix
. Awareness of SharePoint development technologies and methodologies
. Competent with Visual Studio to create templates, branding layouts and master pages
. Experience with developing workflows using Visual Studio
. Experience with SharePoint user authentication using CA SiteMinder and Active Directory
. Experience creating and managing an enterprise data taxonomy, Information Architecture, Search configuration and governance
. Demonstrate ability to stay current with state-of-the-art trends in the enterprise content management technology domain.
. Experience in developing InfoPath forms, workflows and enhancing SharePoint out-of-box web parts to design solutions
. Experience developing and deploying features as SharePoint Solutions.
. Experience creating an enterprise-wide data taxonomy
. Experience of SharePoint fault tolerance and back-up strategies
. Experience of creating, configuration and customizing of SharePoint sites
. Understanding of Web technologies such as JQuery, CSS and HTML
. Thorough understanding of SharePoint best practices
. Experience in working with customers to gather and document both functional and technical requirements
. Ability to leverage and promote the capabilities of SharePoint as a platform for business use and productivity
. Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
