The Hull City Council is recruiting to a number of exciting new roles to support a key transformation programme called WorkSmart. WorkSmart is about creating a modern working environment for our employees, by adopting flexible working practices and utilising the benefits of digital technologies. ICT Officer (End User Services) – Three Posts
As an ICT Officer you will be involved in procuring, configuring, issuing and supporting a range of devices required to support WorkSmart including tablets, PCs, laptops and mobiles; so you’ll need previous experience of working in ICT support along with a good knowledge of hardware, peripherals and operating systems. Previous experience of imaging technologies such as WDS/MDT/SCCM or VMware Mirage would also be beneficial.
You will have a successful track record of working in a busy environment to a high degree of accuracy while delivering in line with SLA targets. You’ll be qualified to NQF Level 3 (A-Level equivalent) or have equivalent experience. Technical qualifications (i.e. MCP) and/or relevant training are desirable.
You will work in conjunction with ICT Officers, Senior ICT Officers, an Operational Lead and a Team Manager to deliver a robust, friendly and customer focused support function. Three ICT Officer posts are available, two permanent and one fixed term for 18 months. There is a requirement to work Saturdays on a rota basis, and you’ll receive the appropriate enhancements.
