Linux - System Administrator - Influential Role – London/BH System Administrator is required for exciting and progressive Sports betting Hedge fund Company based in London. You will be working with the quantitative research team to help build, maintain and optimize the in-house analytics infrastructure that drives their trading decisions. Requirements Essential: Commercial experience with Linux systems administration at scale (Debian/Ubuntu systems in particular). Good command of Git, Python, and shell scripting. Experience with monitoring systems. Experience with configuration management software (we use Ansible). Good understanding of networks. Ability to self-manage and intelligently prioritise tasks. Good spoken and written communication skills. Desirable: In-depth knowledge of all hardware and software layers. Experience administrating databases. Passion for high-quality monitoring/forecasting/measurement/alerting practices/tools. Ability to diagnose problems on production machines, as well as perform post-mortem analyses.
