Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Bailey Finch Associates are delighted to assist our client with the role of Senior IT Linux System Administrator Required Skills • Infrastructure Engineer – Linux RPM based systems (Redhat) • Built and managed large scale high performance virtualized Linux Systems within VMware, KVM or Xen • Previous experience of continuous build and integration services like GIT, Maven, Hudson, Cruisecontrol and Bambo • Experience with scripting languages - Perl, Python or Ruby would be beneficial as well as exposure to deploying Java applications • Exposure to deployment of automated build systems such as Cobbler, Kickstart or FAI. • Experience with a configuration management language e.g Puppet, Chef • Exposure to at least one: Apache, Glassfish, Tomcat • Understand how to secure, scale and monitor virtual Linux infrastructures • Release management processes, working with multiple development & project teams Requirements Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of System Admin/Development experience 3+ years of experience working in the different phases of development 3+ years of writing system requirements Understanding of data gathering/analysis Knowledge of the Software(System) Development Life Cycle Experience working with test plans and test cases Experience facilitating Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions If this role sounds of interest to you, please forward your cv in the first instance to Bailey Finch Associates who are acting as a recruitment agency with this vacancy
