Linux Systems Administrator

Linux Systems Administrators – Manchester - £25,000 to £35,000 plus company benefits and bonuses Linux Engineers are required for our industry leading client based in the city centre of Manchester. Depending on skills and experience, we are looking to pay a salary of £25,000 to £35,000 per year (plus excellent company benefits, company incentives, associated bonuses and a superb, state-of-the-art of working environment with great people). Linux Systems Administrator shall be required to maintain the Linux core systems, whilst being involved in project work for the expansion of the existing core infrastructure. Skills and Experience: • Installing, maintaining and supporting Linux servers, ideally Red Hat/Debian based distributions • Installing, configuring and supporting the following applications and services: Apache/NgiNX; MySQL/PostgreSQL; DNS; Networking; FTP; Mail Servers; RHCE / RHCA / RHCESA • On a non-technical basis the Linux Systems Administrator must possess strong interpersonal skills, a desire to provide excellent customer service, whilst possessing aspirations of extending their technological expertise Role and Responsibilities: You will be assisting with and maintaining customer solutions via telephone and email, analysing and solving customer problems and helping with server setup/configuration and support. All we ask from you is that you are a team player with a can do attitude.
