An exciting opportunity has become available to join a highly respected and long standing engineering organisation as an 3rd Line IT Support within their IT Department. Reporting to the IT Manager, the main purpose of your role will be to provide integral support, maintenance and configuration services to already existing clients within their central business system.
Duties to include:
*Providing integral 3rd line application support on internally and externally developed applications.
*Ensuring all daily system checks are completed and documented.
*Using your own knowledge to identify key issues and to recommend the most appropriate system changes, updates and enhancements to resolve the request.
*Engaging with all external and internal stake holders to trouble shoot and resolve more complicated issues that are out of your own capability.
*Updating the internal database to reflect on the current status of each individual request.
*Continually monitoring the progress of support requests, keeping the specific user informed at all times.
You will have:
*A recognised IT qualification.
*Solid working knowledge of ITIL Procedures and Project Lifecycle.
*Capability of using main IT software applications.
*Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team.
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
*Positive approach to work with the ability to solve potentially difficult situations calmly and professionally.
This is a full time, permanent opportunity working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm based in company offices in Norwich. An offered salary of £24,500 - £35,000 DOE. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including; 20 days holiday + bank holidays, life insurance, contributory stake holder pension scheme, cycle to work scheme and a sports and social club.
