Application Support Manager

Application Support Manager Bristol £50k per annum plus benefits We are looking for an experienced Application Support Manager to join a well-established and respected company in the heart of Bristol. Your responsibilities The main purpose of the role is to assist the IT Applications Manager with project delivery, including active involvement and technical leadership of various projects at any given time. In this role, you will have line management responsibility of part of the Applications team. Therefore, mentoring and developing team members will be an important part of the position. You will need to provide technical support and oversight to members of the team where required. You will be required to work with stakeholders across the company to define IT requirements for new technology implementations. You will benchmark, analyse, report on and make recommendations for the improvement of companywide systems and service delivery, through the development of business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending. Your background As an Application Support Manager you will have a proven background in a similar IT Applications based role that has had management and/or mentoring responsibility, ideally within a Professional Services environment. Also required: - Strong strategic, management skills and experience, but maintaining the ability to get hands-on when required. - Work well with a highly technical team. - Strong leadership skills. - Highly capable multi-tasker, able to switch focus and maintain multiple work-streams on an on-going basis. - Strong understanding of project management principles Understanding and previous experience of the following: - Core desktop and office systems (ideally Windows 7/10 and Office 2010/16) - Document management system experience - PMS system experience such as Elite. - CRM Solution experience - Workflow Development using a process automation tool. - SharePoint or other Web based technology - Microsoft Office Suite & Template Management Solutions - Microsoft SQL Server (and T-SQL) 2005 and later People Source Consulting Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
