Support Engineer Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 My client are a media asset management software company based just north of Cambridge. They design, develop and implement flexible architecture for their clients to help them manage their internal media libraries. Due to an increasing workload they are now looking to recruit a Support Engineer to help them with the installation, configuration and administration of these solutions. The key purpose of the role will be to respond to clients software and hardware problems whenever required, either resolving these issues remotely or, in some cases, on the clients site. You will also be required to manage the installation of software and hardware solutions and fully train the customers on the use of the software. The key skills required for this role are as follows: MySQL / MS SQL 2008 Windows Server 2012 XSL / XML data transformation Data manipulation in Excel Powershell scripting Active Directory Windows 7 & 10 operating systems Office365 Antivirus Any experience of Linux or cloud technologies would be desirable. This is a great opportunity for a methodical and hard working Support Engineer looking for career progression and a fun working environment. The role will be working with internal and external clients, so you will regularly be asked to travel to clients sites. As a result you must be an excellent communicator, confident working with external clients and have a full UK driving licence.
