Network Manager

Birmingham based Circa £50,000 We are seeking an individual that can demonstrate excellent network and security skills. This role will be operating within a team of specialist Network / Security engineers who look after the internal and client networks. To be considered for this role you need to be able to demonstrate the ability of design, implementation and support of a network involving routing, switching and firewall technologies. In addition, you must be willing to mentor a small team of four Network Engineers. Ideally exposure at a management level would be ideal but technical experience would be the main goal. Essential Skills - Network Manager • Strong understanding of OSI model • Strong understanding of TCP/IP • Layer-2, Layer 3 switching (Spanning Tree, Ether-Channels, VLANs etc.) • Dynamic Routing Protocols (GBP, OFPS, EIGRP) • Platform experience in HP Switching, Cisco (WAN / LAN/ Security appliances), Check Point, Juniper, WatchGuard etc.) • Established track record of troubleshooting technical issues through to resolution • Provide 3rd line support across technologies • Work closely with 3rd parties and other departments • Good understanding / experience of Wireless technologies • Ability to work under pressure • Troubleshooting, Installs, upgrades, Design and implementation projects
