Hays Technology are currently recruiting for an ambitious Web Developer to join a large-scale public-sector organisation based in York on a permanent basis.

Your new role
The Web Developer plays a major role in supporting and providing enhancements to the organisations website's content management system, ensuring that the CMS meets changing business needs and priorities, and supports the user journey.

This is a broad ranging role working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, and acting as a technical and project lead, you will be responsible for the full development life cycle, from gathering customers' requirements through to the analysis, design, build, testing and implementation of solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders at all levels
• A working knowledge of the following web technologies would be ideal: HTML, CSS,CMS, PHP and JavaScript
• Any experience of TermininalFour and Funnelback would be advantageous but not essential for the role
• Ability to lead on associated projects
• Ability to work as part of a wider team but comfortable to work on own initiative
• MS Access and any reporting tools would be beneficial
