DATA CENTRE TECHNICIAN

You will be part of the Data Centre Team that is responsible for the operational support of all systems in the main University's Data Centres. This includes responsibility for over 500 servers, facilities managed systems for Schools, Faculties and Central Units and hosting facilities for external organisations.

You will hold a HND in Computing or related subject area (or equivalent qualification or directly relevant experience) and have knowledge of Windows server operating systems (Windows server 2012, 2016 and 2019) and/or Unix operating systems (Red Hat 6 and 7). Documentation, analytic and problem-solving skills in a computing environment are also essential. You may be required to participate in the Out of Hours cover scheme.

The post is available immediately on a Full-Time, indefinite basis.
