The role:
My client has an exciting opportunity for a QA Team Leader to join their Application Development team and be responsible for driving the QA team, ensuring that the delivery of quality software products is well maintained. You will be part of a small QA team, and will hold overall responsibility, ensuring that all software is designed, validated and tested to the desired standard throughout the whole development lifecycle. You will provide guidance to the wider team of Engineers within test and Quality Assurance, and will work very closely with the developers to help make improvements in the quality of code using manual and automated test. You will have overall responsibility for defining the strategy of all testing activities. Whilst working to develop and maintain a high standard of applications, you will be responsible for identifying where improvements could be made.
We would be looking for all of the below:
- Previous experience of leading a QA/Test team in a commercial environment, with experience of designing and implementing QA strategy.
- Experience of leading and influencing a team.
- Knowledge and experience of automated testing e.g. Selenium and Cucumber.
- A strong technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure in a commercial environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong experience of problem solving and influencing individuals.
- A good team player.
Any of the below would be highly advantageous:
- Previous experience of .Net programming.
- ISEB certification
