An experienced Lead / Senior .NET Developer is required by a prominent UK business to join one of their Scrum teams who work on a variety of business critical systems and projects.
You'll head up a small but highly technical team and be responsible for leading and enhancing the business solutions whilst developing best practice within an environment that is moving towards continuous deployment. Part of the role will involve working closely with the other key teams of the development lifecycle such as DevOps, QA and Release Management to ensure that the code you and your team write will influence and enhance the automation test strategy and software design / practices that are used in house.
Working within a test driven development environment, on 3 week iterations you will need to demonstrate strong technical ability with C#, ASP.NET, MVC 4/5, WCF and SQL Server as well as the associated web based technologies. You will also need to demonstrate experience of working on all aspects of n-tier system development, sound knowledge of design patterns and principles as well as an understanding of DevOps and Continuous Integration. Previous experience of LINQ, Nhibernate and TFS would be advantageous.
Alongside the core technical requirements you will need to be a strong and confident communicator, have previous experience of leading people and projects and ideally some experience of mentoring and upskilling team members. You will also be expected to be an advocate for emerging technologies who wants to share ideas and influence change.
