The database will be created by collating multi-parametric electronic data from specific cohorts of patients with cancer who have undergone radiotherapy, from several UK hospitals. Data will be accessed by multi-disciplinary researchers within the RadNet consortium to answer clinical research questions using developed analytical tools. The post holder will liaise with the RadNet community to manage an efficient and effective platform. This is an ambitious undertaking that requires a highly skilled individual with expertise, drive and vision to bring to fruition.
This position is initially funded till 31st October 2024.in the first instance. Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in a computational, mathematical, physical sciences or engineering subject or equivalent experience. You will be responsible for delivering an efficient and effective business applications technical support services. We are looking for a candidate who can provide 2nd and 3rd line support on business applications, import data into databases and provide systems administration for database management systems, primarily SQL Server.
About the role:
As an IT Support Engineer / Systems Administrator / Data Analyst you will be responsible for;
• Providing 2nd and 3rd line business applications support.
• Providing systems administration services for database management systems, primarily SQL Server, to ensure availability of applications, optimise performance and identify capacity issues and faults.
• Test and plan version upgrades and patching for the internal system and other systems and co-ordinate user acceptance testing prior to going live.
• Importing data into databases using data import and bulk update methods.
• Maintaining documentation and a timetable of regular processes.
• Providing ad-hoc reports for users.
Ok, make us Excited! Our Perfect IT Support Engineer / Systems Administrator / Data Analyst will have the following;
• Proven experience providing 2nd / 3rd line business applications support.
• Proven database admin and Transact-SQL skills in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proven experience in production of management information reports.
• Good working knowledge of networking and data communications, including TCP/IP and DNS.
• Excellent trouble-shooting and problem resolution skills.
• Advanced data analysis and manipulation skills, including the use of Excel pivot tables and complex formulae.
