Our client is a global web technology business who are on the lookout for a Senior Front End Web Developer to be based in their Cardiff location (but allow flexible home working 2 days a week!).
You will be involved in developing and maintaining external and internal web application environments and improving/creating next generation web applications.
The successful candidate will provide expert level advice on tools and platform direction. You will have strong web applications development and analytical (i.e. requirements gathering) skills, strong JavaScript-AJAX client-side programming knowledge and experience, as well as the ability to learn new technologies quickly, based on prior experiences with similar tools.
This position will require superior written and verbal communication skills. You will work with individuals and cross functional teams to establish frameworks, architecture, develop and maintain their web based systems and applications.

Establish sound UI tier application architecture based on industry best practices
Implement rapid UI tier changes to meet changing business and marketing requirements
Develop functional and technical documentation on assigned projects

Analyse and optimize pages and page design for maximum performance
Experience Required:
5 + years experience in Web Development, UI tier design and technologies such as Angular, AJAX, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, DHTML, CSS, to some extent Java and Spring
Understanding of JavaScript object oriented programming, closures
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as: Angular, Jquery
Experience with version control systems (SVN, GIT is preferred)
Knowledge of CSS-based table-less page layouts
