As the successful Developer who has in-depth experience of the IBM Rational suite of tools (preferably RTC/RQM and Doors) and the ability to configure the toolset. My client manufacturer parts for the automotive industry, and supply a global client base of blue chip companies. This is a new position within the business, and the global group has invested heavily into the Trowbridge plant in the 12 months and are now recruiting this position due to growth.
In the position of Master Data Manager you will be responsible for the data in the ERP system, manufacturing system and SAP. This will involve doing data audits, checking BOM’s, routing and stock control. Other duties will be to coordinate forecast to production plan conversion, maintain capacity planning system and to administer and guide all departments in data accuracy and the use of ERP/MES systems
The role will report into the NPI Team leader and IT Manager within the business, and you will be required to liase with various departments on a daily baisis including manufacturing, design, logistics, IT and quality.
Duties:

Data Cleansing – review existing ERP data and update where required
*
Master Data Management – policing all aspects of ERP Master Data, including, ERP Xpert Data Accuracy, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) & later SAP ERP, run data audits, checking BOM’s, routing, stock control & change control
* Create Planning BOMs: from Engineering Drawings & ECS’s
* Capacity planning: medium to long term to feed into business potential trigger points for expansion/replacement capacity based on current and potential future order book – using orders in place and Forecast information
* Training in use of the ERP system: be part of the induction process and show newcomers and any existing employees how to use the ERP and indicate the importance of data accuracy
* Training of a deputy: for cover & to assist in busier times
