As the Infrastructure Analyst / 3rd Line Support Engineer you will carry out installations, upgrade, moves, maintenance and decommissioning of all Wintel servers (Windows Server, VMWare ESXi etc) and server related equipment adhering to a strict set of guidelines. You will also monitor and maintain all server and SAN and NAS related hardware, including their supporting infrastructure, configuration of SAN related server software and the provisioning of storage. Infrastructure support work will focus on 3rd line server engineering and involved server maintenance and patching, rebuilds and configurations as well as some CLI work using Powershell. You will also participate in the execution of the firm's regular Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery testing by providing replicated copies of data between sites, clustering services and snapshots of data for backup. Project work will focus on the improvement and upgrade of both Wintel Server and related SAN environments combined with NAS hardware estates and combine additional work surrounding the cloud migration strategy which will involve a combination of both MS Azure and AWS deployments and migrations.
