What you'll be doing

You're expected to have proven deep experience on Unica, Oracle Decisioning and Selligent tools, and be the main technical expert in these systems. A well as delivering campaign data, they will provide overall technical support to a team of system users, and will lead on resolving user issues on these key marketing systems.

A key focus of this role is to be The technical expert on our marketing systems, who will lead on all technical designs, and be the point person for resolving any technical issues with either the applications or the underlying data infrastructure. They will coordinate any recovery actions as needed, coordinating and directing internal technical teams as necessary.

They would also be expected to be technically inventive using technology to drive business benefit for the wider team, proactively push technical solutions and opportunities back into key stakeholders and campaign teams, based upon both industry and known BT best practices.

The postholder is also expected to lead on the exploitation and delivery management of BT's customer data for use in selected marketing campaigns, across systems. This includes all data aspects of the marketing value chain through system setup and design, customer contact strategy, requirement definition, management of execution and driving overall effective usage of data to support BT's revenue generation, retention and acquisition activities.

The Delivery management element will be to turn an agreed business requirement into a technical delivery plan and to align resources and developments to deliver to that plan. This typically involves leading a small team of experts within and outside the team. Part of this responsibility is to ensure all use of data meets any necessary best practice and legal directives, working with regulatory and legal teams as needed.

The postholder would also be required to personally lead on other database marketing related projects, as directed by the reporting line.

Skills/Experience
  • Unica - deep expert in the exploitation of Unica campaign tool (v9+), and its underlying database.
  • Oracle Decisioning - be expert in the exploitation of RTD tool and its underlying database.
  • Selligent - be expert in the exploitation of Selligent Email Send tool and its underlying database.
  • PL/SQL - have advanced level of SQL understanding and be able to extract and manipulate data.
  • Database - have database administration and performance optimization skills.


Education
  • BSc (or equivalent)
  • Ideally Oracle Certified Associate (SQL, 10g Administrator etc)
