Software Team Leader - C++ GUI C# WPF MATLAB - Durham

The Client: Our client is a rapidly growing technology business. The Role: The role will focus on translating their technology into high quality, customer-facing software products. Main Responsibilities: • Team leadership • Preparation of Functional Specifications Solid experience of: • External implementation support, being able to communicate clearly and develop good working relationships • Planning and management of software development projects • Creating high quality software libraries and GUI applications with documentation • Ensuring software quality, professionalism and versioning The Candidate: • Minimum degree-level in a software engineering or computer science discipline • Excellent C++ and C# programming skills • The ability to capture requirements and produce Functional Specifications • Excellent planning and organisational skills related to the development of commercial software including: • High levels of competency in GUI design and programming (with emphasis on C# and WPF) • Software project management • Software testing strategies • Source code control Desirable Skills: • Team management experience • An understanding of MATLAB • Knowledge of image processing techniques • Levels of scientific and technical understanding that allow effective communication with the Innovation team If you would like to discuss the role in more detail, please apply with your CV or contact Qasim Asghar in the Adept office
