A Satellite Communications System is currently being upgraded so that elements of this system operate upon an updated MS Windows Operating System (OS) - Windows 10.
A range of Bespoke Applications were developed for and deployed under an earlier version of the Operating System. The purpose of this role will be to migrate Bespoke Application and regression test their functionality and performance under the new Operating System.
The candidate will also migrate and ensure successful regression testing of third-party SW applications such as HP Protect, Anti-Virus SW (e.g. McAfee).
In addition to ensuring the success of and undertaking regression testing of the Bespoke and third-party applications, Security Enforcing Function (SEF) testing will be undertaken to ensure the expected security behaviour remains intact.
It is expected that the candidate will interact with the Bespoke Application developers to overcome any issues identified during the Window OS upgrade.
