Responsible for the production, modification and maintenance of websites, web applications, and other systems that employ frontend and backend technologies. Working closely with designers to turn static designs into working browser-based pages, as well as project managers to ensure jobs are delivered on-time and on-budget.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of three years commercial experience building and maintaining a variety of websites
Ability to develop clean, semantic code that works across all browsers and devices
Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and newer (queries, stored procedures, etc)
Ability to setup & manage websites using IIS7, and general experience of Windows based servers
Strong Photoshop skills with the ability to quickly extract images and text as required
Experience of developing sites for mobile devices
Experience working with version control systems (SVN & TortoiseSVN in particular)
Good understanding of web accessibility
Working experience of Windows based PCs
Needs to adapt quickly and be flexible in the face of changing priorities
Good attention to detail
Understanding and experience of responsive design techniques
Experience of the N2CMS content management system
Experience of PHP/LAMP
Experience of PhoneGap mobile framework

Embedded Software Engineer – Yorkshire Embedded C, ARM Cortex Microcontrollers, Power, Control Applications Innovative, rapidly expanding company specialising in Software development of control applications for the Power Industry. Development using high-level languages including embedded C for ARM Cortex based microcontrollers. The position covers the full software lifecycle including, requirements capture, design, development, verification and validation. Responsibilities: Write and develop embedded software in C with occasional use of assembler for a variety of applications. Write and maintain software development documentation ie specifications, test plans and design descriptions. Perform product testing of embedded software. Read electronic circuit schematics diagrams and fault find hardware. Essential Skills Sought: Degree in Software / Computer Engineering or equivalent. Good level of embedded software experience, ideally 3 years. Ability to not only write software but design software in with a structure approach. Working knowledge of communications protocols, including CAN (with J1939 or CANopen) and USB with Ethernet being desirable. Use of IAR Embedded Workbench IDE and TFS or similar version control system Excellent written English skills and fully competent on modern PC systems. Self-motivated and a capability for working to a high level of detail and accuracy, with an excellent working knowledge of modern microprocessor and micro controller designs. Fully conversant with ISO 9001 QA requirements, as well as conversant with static analysis tools ideally to MISRA standards.
